The National Cancer Institute (NCI)'s Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) is a national effort to accelerate the understanding of the molecular basis of cancer through the application of large-scale proteome and genome analysis, or proteogenomics. As a consortium member, the Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) Office of Sponsored Research & Administration (OSRA)/ Office of Translational Technologies (OTT) is seeking a Study Coordinator for the NCI CPTAC. The Study Coordinator will interact with cancer patients and work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, clinicians, and hospital staff to coordinate the various aspects of CPTAC research activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical research coordination, electric medical record queries, comfortable explaining the study protocol to patients that may participate, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in a biological science, nursing, or related field required. Advanced degree (MS, MPH, PhD) preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in clinical research or project coordination.
Knowledge of proteomics, tumor biology, and cancer research.
Familiarity with the regulatory aspects of clinical research and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in data management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Advanced degree (MS, MPH, PhD) preferred.
