    This project (funded by the French National Research Agency) aims to study the supramolecular properties of fluorinated compounds. The project involves the multi-step synthesis of novel organofluorine compounds capable of self- assembly to form controlled supramolecular assemblies with high interaction fidelity. The study of supramolecular properties will involve the use of several complementary analytical tools (NMR, XRD, ITC, MS) to determine the influence of solvent, interaction geometry, fidelity and energy associated with complex formation.

    The project will take place under the direction of Guillaume Compain of the peptidomimetic chemistry group of the Institute of Chemistry and Biology of Membranes and Nano-Objects (CBMN) at the University of Bordeaux. The research team is located at the European Institute of Chemistry and Biology (IECB). The laboratory is equipped with all the instruments necessary for the realization of the project (HPLC, semi-preparative HPLC, automatic flash chromatography, microwave synthesis reactor, lyophilizer, rotavap, autoclave, etc.). Several analytical platforms are present on the site and provide state-of-the-art instruments: NMR (300, 400, 500, 800 MHz), mass spectrometry (LCMS, HRMS, LCQ) and X-ray diffraction.

    -Strong knowledge and experience in organic synthesis -Experience in multi-step synthesis -Experience in supramolecular chemistry -Knowledge in fluorine chemistry desirable -Good command of English (oral and written) -Good writing and oral communication skills -Team player
