Greenville University's Student Success Center offers GU students a variety of resources in order to thrive academically. One of those resources that we offer is peer tutoring which is a free face-to-face and online program that seeks to help students achieve greater success in the classroom. Peer tutoring is made available for all GU students. As a peer tutor, you will assist other students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research, and other academic tasks. Working with students to help them understand key concepts learned in the classroom.

Tutoring center hours: Monday-Thursday, 7-10pm

Key subject areas: Math, Physics/Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Psych, Spanish, Digital Media, Accounting, Music Theory, Business Management/Marketing.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled as a Greenville University undergraduate student.
  • Must have a 3.0 or above GPA.
  • Must have a B or higher in each of the courses wanting to tutor.
  • Must be a full-time student enrolled in 12+ credits (Except for seniors in their second semester).
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to help students construct their own understandings of course materials.
