Position Summary Information

Objective

Assist the Academic Advising & Counseling Services office with basic office duties.

Essential Duties

1. Answer phones, take messages and set appointments.

2. Fill display shelves.

3. Assist with filing.

4. Make copies, send faxes and act as a courier between offices as needed.

5. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Able to keep all information confidential.

2. Always treat students, parents, faculty and staff in a courteous manner.

4. Must be enrolled as at least a half time student (this includes all Blinn campuses and internet courses)

Preferred Experience and Training

Experience in an office setting; working with the public.

Required Degree, License or Certifications

The Academic Advising & Counseling Services Office is open 45 hours per week. Student workers coordinate to cover all hours. Specify which hours you are able to work during the following period: M-F, 8am-5pm.

Physical Requirements Special Notes To Applicants

This position begins with the Spring session, January 18, 2022. Student must be enrolled in at least 12 hours and be eligible for student work study. Please post hours/weekdays you are able to work. Length of employment: semester by semester Evaluation Procedures & Schedules – none
