We are recruiting for a Student Wellbeing Advisor within Student & Education Services. You will be part of a team of staff who support the wellbeing of students across a 24/7 timeframe.

Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 9 am - 5 pm. You would be expected to work across our main Student Hub on our Highfield campus.

The Student Wellbeing Advisor role is an integral role in a hardworking, compassionate, and committed team to provide support and guidance to students who are experiencing poor wellbeing, mental health or distress.

You will assist with the management and organisation of other services within the Wellbeing Team, in particular the Wellbeing Practitioner Team and Counselling Team.

The position will involve being part of our Open-Door service, conducting Wellbeing Chats, as face to face and virtual contact with students is a day to day task. It is vital that you can maintain accurate professional records, using appropriate levels of confidentiality and responding appropriately to any safeguarding concerns that may arise.

The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and agencies including the student discipline team, personal academic tutors, the NHS, and the police to enable the Wellbeing team to provide effective support to those impacted. Therefore, the person should have good written and verbal communication skills.

A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service clearance at Enhanced level is also required.

Please note that if a substantial number of applications are received, the closing date may be brought forward. We therefore encourage any potential candidate to submit their application at the earliest opportunity.
