Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their classrooms.
Participate with mealtime – creating a family style dining atmosphere.
Teach and assist children with self-help skills to include handwashing and
Change the diapers of infants and toddlers.
Implement and organize activities so that children can learn about the world
and explore interests.
Assist with and implement circle, story or art activities with the children.
Converse, chant, sing and play with the children.
Maintain schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical
activity, rest, and playtime.
Complete daily activity record.
Assist Lead teaches with observations, checklists and progress reports.
Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent, Credit Hours
(Specify hours below), Associate's degree (Specify field(s) of study
Computer Skills Other - iPad pictures and notes
6 months experience working with children
Child Development and/or Early Childhood classes preferred
Preference is giving to applicants with
CDA or A.S. Child Development, Education, Psychology, Early Childhood, Social
Work, Speech Pathology, or related degree with childcare experience
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of
Position: Child care security check, Fingerprinting
Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication
skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Physical abilities:
confidentiality, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills
Physical & Environmental Factors: Lifting (weight) - 50 lbs, Excessive
standing and/or walking, Exposure to extreme temperatures
