Role
As a Student Systems Analyst you can look forward to joining an enthusiastic and friendly team who work in partnership with colleagues across the University to provide high quality administrative systems and services to support the student experience at York.
The Student Systems team is responsible for the development, management, and maintenance of our student record system (SITS) and its integrations with other business systems. These systems are core to the running of the University with Academic and Professional Service departments relying on them to underpin their key activities. A detailed understanding of these processes provides a valuable foundation to those seeking career progression within the sector.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved with a team that is responsible for providing enhancements and new solutions to these activities, supporting the student journey from application through to graduation and ensuring that our systems meet changing business needs and priorities. You will provide day- to-day support across a number of areas, resolving problems as they arise and identifying areas for future improvement and work on their development.
If you are a highly motivated and enthusiastic person seeking to gain experience of software development projects through all phases we would be interested in hearing from you. You must have strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills, with data, documentation and report writing abilities. You must also have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work independently or as part of a team, and be willing to learn new systems and processes quickly.
You will play a key role in a cross functional team, supporting the implementation of a number of key University projects, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the student experience at the University.
