The mission of the Division of Student & Academic Affairs is to create solutions for a healthier community by fostering student success. There are 12 functional units within the Division of Student & Academic Affairs: Center for Student Life, Career Readiness Center, Center for Academic Performance, Office of Care and Civility, Registrar, Financial Aid, Testing and Evaluation Services, International Services, Admissions & Recruitment, Office of University Assessment & Accreditation, Office of Disability Access, and Student Assistance Resource Center.
Position Overview
The Division of Student and Academic Affairs at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Student Services Specialist to join the Office of Care and Civility. The Specialist will focus on coordinating and providing programming for the HSC Community with an emphasis on HSC students. Programming encompasses educational efforts including in-person activities as well as virtual engagement opportunities and creation and dissemination of educational materials.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in education, communication, public health, or related field and 2 years of experience with hosting events.
Required License / Registration / Certification Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional evenings or weekends as required for divisional events. Remote work available up to 2 days per week when student events and office traffic allow.

Job Duties
o
Facilitate programming related to wellbeing, prevention, and relevant legislation for the HSC community.
o
Use existing assessment data to help develop a wellbeing promotion plan.
o
Design, facilitate, and track programming efforts related to BeWell.
o
Collaborate with HSC and community partners for wellbeing promotion events and activities.
o
Conduct presentations for faculty, students, and staff with a focus on wellbeing.
o
Assist with and/or lead departmental assessments.
o
Lead program marketing and assist in overall departmental outreach efforts, including social media.
o
Assist with other Office of Care and Civility initiatives.
