Student Employment at DigiPen is open to all currently matriculated students if they meet the qualifications for the job.

Students may not work during a time when they have a class scheduled, a class is canceled or ends early.

Student workers must reside within the state of Washington. Remote work outside of Washington will not be permitted.

Duties and Responsibilities

RTOS Research Assistant working with ECE Professor Christian Hassard

The objective of this research project is to explore the implementation of a custom RTOS on a TM4C123GH6PM. During the last weeks of Fall 2021, the research assistant will work on 1) Explore feasibility of having the custom RTOS on the TM4C123GH6PM. 2) Implement the RTOS on the TM4C123GH6PM, if we conclude it is feasible. 2) Implement the RTOS on the TM4C123GH6PM, if we conclude it is feasible. 3) Make a VGA interface for the TM4C123GH6PM. 4) Debug and tests.


The applicant must have experience in either 1 or more of the following: PCB design, Programming (C/C#), microcontrollers, communication protocols for embedded systems, electric circuits or robotics.

DigiPen Student Employee Academic Requirements:

  • Are currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
  • Good Academic Standing – not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Notes:

    If you don't meet the minimum requirements above you will need to obtain an Academic Waiver form which will need to be signed off by the Department Chair and/or Dean of Faculty depending on which items need to be waived. More information is included on the Academic Waiver form.

    Working conditions

    The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; and significant fine finger dexterity. May need to lift up to 25 lbs.
