    Position Summary

    The Student Recruitment Events Coordinator is responsible for assisting in marketing-based activities specifically designed to generate inquiries. Under the guidance of Student Recruitment Manager, a mix of marketing and communication promotion activities (above-the-line and below-the-line) will be developed and executed that will specifically raise awareness of RMIT and engage prospective students for programs offered at the Hanoi campus.

    The holder of this position is also required to maintain a flexible work schedule to coordinate and attend evening and weekend events, as well as maintain an on-call status where necessary.

    Reporting Line

    Reports to: Senior Events & Engagement Coordinator

    Key Accountabilities
  • Communicate and collaborate with other stakeholders such as Marketing, International Office, other Schools, etc. to plan and execute recruiting and marketing events.
  • Coordinate with Senior Coordinator, Event & Engagement, and other departments to organize external engaging events such as Information Days, Experience Day, Postgraduate events.
  • Manage internal Student Recruitment events: Application Day, Highschool Tours.
  • Brainstorm and execute the flow, layout of events by collaborating with OHS, Property and IT.
  • Work with other suppliers to ensure the qualification of events (F&B, transportation, production, merchandise, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Senior Coordinator, Event & Engagement to set up the layout as well as prepare merchandise, branded gifts and brochure for events.
  • Maintain records for all events including facility usage requests, invoices, payments/deposits, event participant survey forms.
  • Assist Senior Coordinator, Event & Engagement to develop Student Ambassadors Team by organizing training sessions (Public speaking, campus tour, leadership training) and engaging events (SAT Night, Orientation Day, Team Building).
  • Develop and manage SAT Data on Zoho application.
  • Develop the report for each event in collaboration with Senior Coordinator, Event & Engagement to ensure it reflects on KPIs and areas for improvement.
  • Perform other duties required by the Student Recruitment Manager and Senior Coordinator, Events & Engagement.
  • Key Selection Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in major of Events Management, Marketing, Sales or Communication
  • At least 3-year experience in coordinating and managing events
  • Good knowledge of venue options, F&B and event-related production
  • Highly organised, detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision
  • Excellent customer service ethics and high expectations of quality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including negotiation, liaison and cross-cultural communication
  • English Proficiency

    English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS (General) score of at least 5.5 (or equivalent, as outlined in the Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding Guidelines).

    For any role, English Language Proficiency may also be proven by showing successful completion of secondary education to a level qualifying to enter university study while being instructed through the medium of English, as per the RMIT University recognised qualification list.
