We are looking for two organised, motivated and enthusiastic people to join our friendly Events team which is an ambitious and developing team who support the University's strategic objectives relating to student recruitment. The team is responsible for delivering high quality student recruitment and conversion activities both on campus and digitally to reach our target audiences in the UK and around the globe.
The Events Assistant role involves working as part of the Events Support team to provide administrative support for a range of events and projects. These include but are not limited to: Open Days, Offer Holder Events, tours/visits and international arrivals, and cover both Undergraduate and Postgraduate. You will also work closely with the Student Staff Manager on the administration of the Student Ambassador scheme.
You will report to the Events Support Manager and will work closely with the wider Events team, colleagues in Faculties/Departments and other key University staff. You will also act as a liaison for students wishing to visit campus and will communicate with external suppliers.
The role requires a high level of organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload. Excellent communication skills are essential, and experience of events would be an advantage. You will be able to work well independently and as part of a team. This is a varied position in a fast moving and busy environment.
Both roles are office based and full time for the duration of 12 months.
