About This Role:
The Student Records Specialist assists the Office of Records and Registration with many vital functions. Provides customer service to internal and external clients through multiple means of communication, including face- to-face, via telephone and through email. This position assists in the processes for LU graduation applications and performs data entry in multiple computer applications, monitors departmental email accounts and helps meet reporting needs within the department.
What You'll Do – Position Responsibilities
-Departmental queue telephone calls -Departmental emails
-Assist in the outreach to departments with certification programs. -Manually sets students up for awarding of certifications -Prepare certificates for mailing for certification program -Assist in the review of audits to ensure degree clearance and certification for LU graduate and undergraduate programs -Assist in checking departmental emails (Transcripts, Graduation/Undergraduate, and Commencement email accounts). -Maintain correspondence with graduating undergraduate/graduate level students through email. -Assist in the freezing of student's degree audits after awarding degrees for retention purpose -Assist in the preparation of diplomas for pick up and mailing -Assist LU Graduation Coordinator with Tuition Rebate Process – Determine whether students who applied for tuition reimbursement meet the qualifications for this benefit
