The Department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion and Recreation at UNT has approximately 1,400 undergraduate and 120 graduate students majoring in Kinesiology; Health Behavior and Fitness; or Recreation, Event, and Sport Management.
Position Overview
The Department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion and Recreation (KHPR)is searching for an Internship Facilitator to assist students in securing internships, coordinate and maintain records, communicate with students and advisors, identify and vet internship sites, and vet supervisors. There are 3 program areas in KHPR; Kinesiology, Health Behavior and Fitness (HBFT), and Recreation, Event, and Sport Management (RESM). This position covers all 3 program areas.
Department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion and Recreation is searching for an individual to assist students and faculty in the process of securing student internships. Including: coordinate and maintain records; communicate with students and advisors; identify and vet internship sites and supervisors. This individual will identify and secure internship sites in each of the departments academic areas, and identify supervisors at each site. This staff member will ensure students who apply for internships at approved sites have met the necessary pre requisite courses, completed the required paperwork, and other academic requirements by working with both students and KHPR Advisors

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field and one year of professional related experience in coordinating or administering higher education programming or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to prioritize multiple ongoing responsibilities. • Strong organizational skills. • Proficiency in MS Office. • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree in RESM, KINE or closely related fields. Holding on or more of the following certifications: ACSM-EP, NSCA-CSCS Prior experience managing internships at the collegiate level Prior experience teaching college students.
