Student And Academic Services Professional & Business Support Grade 6 - £28,762 to £35,333 dependent on experience

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Student Policy, Casework and Compliance team in Academic Services at Sheffield Hallam University. The successful candidate will be part of a team who manage student dispute and conduct issues, the development of student regulations and policies, ensuring course and Professional Statutory and Regulatory Body requirements are met, compliance with Competition and Markets Authority legislation, and support of University committees.

You will manage a small team with responsibility for a range of administrative activities which includes processing professional checks for Teaching and Allied Health Professional courses, processing student casework (appeals, complaints and disciplinary), enhancing processes and systems, delivering training and briefings to staff, committee servicing and providing advice and guidance on regulations and policies.

This is a varied role which requires good organisation and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in an environment of complex regulations and procedures to a high level of accuracy. This is a customer services role which requires excellent communication skills, the confidence to liaise with stakeholders at all levels and a professional approach to managing enquiries and giving advice, guidance, and information.

You will be proficient in the use of IT systems and able to quickly develop knowledge of new systems and identify process improvements.
