Summary

Counsels students and parents on financing a JWU education; provides information on payment options, maintaining integrity of student records in accordance with regulations and standards

Essential Job Functions

  • Meets with students and families to review their accounts, financial aid package and discuss payment options
  • Advises students regarding their financial obligations upon enrollment to the university
  • Participates in a rotation schedule to staff the first point of contact service area (e.g. front desk) for visitors and callers
  • Answers customer questions in a professional and courteous manner providing accurate information and/or referring to the appropriate staff members
  • Audits students' accounts to verify the accounts are current and accurate
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Experience in financial planning, student services or other related experience
  • Availability to work evenings
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or greater in finance or a related field of study
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience working with Banner
  • Experience working with Slate
  • Please Note : Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Charlotte Campus location upon hire.
