Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide full, turn-key, enrollment services to prospective and current students both on and off campus. This position is to help students make the transition to the college environment, support and advise students during their college experience, and help students make the transition to an upper division or to the workforce.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
Three (3) years directly related experience in higher education.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy maintaining records.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong customer service skills.
Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with students, faculty, staff, and public.
Preferred Qualifications
Advising experience.

Provide full admissions support services to prospective and current students in terms of completing an admissions application, financial aid application, Del Mar College Foundation application, and any other required applications or information needed to enroll in an academic or continuing education program.
Job Duty
Provide prospective students with Texas Success Initiative (TSI) assessment advising to ensure compliance.
Provide students with information on approved TSI assessments such as the TSIA2, STAAR, ACT, SAT and other relevant state approved assessments. Also, provide students majoring in Nursing or any other specialized program with proper advising and information on taking specialized assessments (i.e., HESI) required by certain programs/departments.
Assist students in scheduling to take their assessments.
Administer assessments as directed both on/off campus.
Serve as a test proctor as needed.
Job Duty
Provide prospective and current students in-person and virtual/remote holistic academic and developmental education advising.
Coordinate with departmental chairs and faculty as needed to ensure students receive required advising and program orientation to enroll in a program of study.

Update student records as necessary.
Provide students with their admissions and financial aid status.

Provide students with an orientation on how to register for classes and navigate via the Datatel/Colleague, Anthology, or current CRM software.

Provide students with career exploration support both directly and indirectly via the Career Center.

Provide prospective and current VA students with both direct and indirect assistance via the Del Mar College's VA Center.
Provide prospective and current students with bona fide disabilities with direct and indirect assistance via the College's Disability Services office/staff.
Provide prospective and current international students with both direct and indirect support via the Admission's/Registrar's office.
Job Duty
Participate in special advising rotations, as directed, including university joint admissions programs.
Early College programs, TSIA2 completion advising, etc.

Participate in outreach events, public school visits, and other related activities as directed.
Assist with planning and execution of on-campus recruitment events, tours, off-campus community events, and more.

Provide full enrollment support to dual credit, and early college students both on/off campus.
Coordinate with dual credit/early college staff as needed.

Participate in staff rotations of all Del Mar College campuses and centers as directed.
