At the University of Tübingen, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences,
Department of Computer Science, is a
Student Assistant position (m/f/d, Workload: 30h/Month).
available to be filled as soon as possible. The contract is for a year
term with possible extension. Increasing the workload is possible if the
applicant is strongly qualified.
Description of duties:
The task consists of (i) assisting with developing lecture notes/excercies;
(ii) implementing machine learning methods (especially, in the area of
multi-agent reinforcement learning and/or communication networks) and
numerical evaluation, possibly using real-world data sets.
Applicant must be an excellent student enrolled in a M.Sc. degree program in
computer science (preferably theoretical informatics, technical informatics,
or cognitive science), operations research, mathematics (statistics,
probability theory), or another tightly related field such as electrical
engineering (wireless communications). A strong mathematical background is
necessary. Very good programming skills (Python and LaTeX) and English
proficiency are also required.
