Duties:

The Event Operations Assistant coordinates the smooth setup & tear down of events in the Healthy Living Centre facility. -Assist with set-up and tear-down of events, which may include moving chairs, benches etc and signage -Provide direction to event volunteers -Implement theme nights as directed by HLC Management -Answer inquiries from renters, staff, and the general public -Other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

-Considerable advanced skills and judgment -Ability to work independently and/or with others effectively and to communicate clearly and professionally -Strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills and self- motivated -Ability to relate to children and youth, including those from diverse populations -Child Abuse Registry Check and Criminal Record check required as a condition of employment (at applicant's expense)

-Event management experience is required -Preference given to current Brandon University student; nearing completion of or completion of undergraduate degree

-Must be available to work weekends and varied day shifts
