Tilburg University Grant Support is looking for an enthusiastic student
assistant. Are you looking for an opportunity to learn more about research
funding and to contribute to the support of individual and education grant
applications? Do you like working with data and can you keep neat and accurate
overviews? Then this position may be something for you, as an assistant to the
Individual Research and Education Grants team (part of Grant Support). We
help researchers find and apply for grants to fund and develop their own
research line or to innovate and improve their teaching. We are looking for
someone who can help us one day a week (0.2 fte) to keep both the
information for researchers and our own data files up-to-date.
Your main tasks will be:
Informing researchers on new grants by tracking funding agencies, updating
our online portal, and writing and distributing newsletters;
Creating and updating overviews of current and possible future applicants
for each grant (Excel/Access);
Adding applications to our Project Management system (PPM);
Assisting our training sessions through participant management and
creating/uploading material (Canvas).
Experience with data entry
Good command of Excel
Ability to effectively search for, evaluate, and neatly organize
Excellent command of English, oral and written
Ability to work accurately and independently
Affinity with academic research
Terms of employment
Your appointment will be for 0.2 fte for the duration of one year. The salary
is between €2,310 and €2,502 gross per month, based on a full-time
appointment. Actual scaling depends on the number of credits obtained.

The Academic Services Division of Tilburg University is responsible for
formulating and implementing the university's research, education and impact
policies. The organisational and administrative support for programmes,
graduate schools and research programmes is organised from the division. In
addition, Academic Services provides guidance to students, lecturers,
researchers and PhD students and supports the acquisition of research funds
and the valorisation of research results. The division is divided into three
