  • Role Description

    We welcome applications from friendly and professional persons to join our team in supporting the delivery of over 500 Professional and Technical Development programmes. We support three of the University's Schools; School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, School of Water, Energy & Sustainability and Environment & Agrifood and School of Defence & Security.

    About the Role

    This post is located in the Student and Academic Support (SAS) Team that delivers the university's Professional and Technical Development portfolio.

    You will join our Short Courses Team, providing a professional and proactive support service to our internal and external customers. The work is interesting and varied. You will be responsible for managing the delivery of allocated professional development programmes and customer support relating to the university's short course portfolio and for ensuring high levels of customer service by acting as a key point of contact for enquiries.

    About You

    This opportunity would suit an experienced and self-motivated Administrator, someone who can make an immediate impact in the team. You will be highly customer focused, with excellent interpersonal skills and able to support the client relationships between the Short Courses Team and the wider university. A good attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and work to and meet tight deadlines is essential.

    In addition, the post holder will be IT literate, including Microsoft Office applications such as; Word, Outlook, Excel. We are looking for an adaptable team member who on occasions is able to work on own initiative, unsupervised and a strong work ethic.

    Previous experience of working with computer based records systems and an understanding of higher education administration are desirable although not essential.
