The Albion College Department of Athletics and Kinesiology Department invites
applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Coach/Instructor.
This is a 10 month administrative position with employment beginning on August
1, 2021. Albion College offers 24 intercollegiate sports as a NCAA Division
III liberal arts institution and a member of the Michigan Intercollegiate
Athletic Association. This position will be responsible for creating in-season
and out-of-season strength and conditioning programs for all Albion College
Student-Athletes. In addition this position will teach 3 units per academic
year for the Kinesiology Department. We are especially interested in
candidates who will contribute to a campus climate that supports equity,
diversity, and belonging.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: a) design and
implement basic fitness, nutrition, and strength and conditioning programs for
student-athletes, b) work with coaching staff to create sport specific
strength and conditioning programs for teams, c) fulfill the duties
(lecture, lab, assess, grade, etc.) that are involved to teach a variety of
Kinesiology courses, including but not limited to, Biomechanics, Science of
Strength and Conditioning, and Introduction to Kinesiology., d) maintain
records to assess the successfulness of strength and conditioning programs for
student athletes, e) manage and maintain the upkeep of the weight room and
equipment, f) hiring, supervision, and evaluation of student weight room
employees, g) other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Master's degree in Exercise Science or related field required.
2-3 years of directly related college strength and conditioning
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or other national
recognized strength and conditioning certification.
Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulation
Demonstration of good communication skills, both written and verbal, with
students, parents, campus community, and other personnel
