Applications are invited for a statistician to work in the Wolfson Centre for Prevention of Stroke and Dementia (CPSD), Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Oxford.
CPSD is located on the John Radcliffe Hospital site in Oxford, and does world- leading research in secondary prevention of stroke, hypertension, vascular dementia, and in the aetiology of vascular disease more generally. The unit currently comprises 40 researchers and support staff, including senior clinical researchers in neurology and geriatrics, clinical research fellows, students, research nurses and laboratory scientists.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with good communication skills, capable of working independently or in a team, and able to provide advice and support to researchers and postgraduate students in the centre, as well as to take the lead on long-term research projects.
Applicants should have an MSc (or equivalent training) in statistics or health data science. Knowledge and experience of design, analysis, interpretation and reporting of epidemiological studies is essential.
