A statistical software program is used to facilitate the analysis of data sets and the understanding of statistical concepts, and to carry out simulation of experiments. Many jobs or professions require that objective decisions be made based on statistical data; students are taught how to collect, analyze, and interpret data correctly. Students are also shown how to clearly and accurately present data to others.

  • Review existing course materials and develop a detailed blueprint or course framework that includes relevant learning outcomes and mapping of course activities, assessments, and updated resources.
  • Revision and/or development of content, learning activities and authentic assessments to ensure that they are relevant and appropriate for a standard web and print course.
  • TRU-OL uses a collaborative approach to course development that involves interactive planning meetings and review sessions as needed.

The content expert/curriculum developer is expected to make effective use of any prescribed resources identified (ideally electronic resources, including Open Educational Resources (OERs), TRU's e-Library collection and article databases), and other materials and media as appropriate.
