Description

Directs an ongoing university program to ensure that prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with its mission and/or specified objectives. Prepares short- and long-term goals and objectives.

  • Plans, develops and administers methods, strategies and procedures for meeting program objectives; directs and oversees the daily activities of staff members.
  • Prepares and monitors the annual budget and ensures that expenditures are within budget allocation.
  • Directs and coordinates personally, or through subordinate personnel, activities concerned with carrying out the objectives of the program.
  • Directs the preparation of and reviews reports and records of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified program objectives; modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect activities and attains objectives.
  • Analyzes trends within program areas, maintaining expert awareness of program information and change needs.
  • Formulates, implements, and maintains appropriate policies and procedures concerning program administration.
  • Manages and administers grant for program, including meetings, communication coordination, scholarships and other operations.
  • May prepare or participate in the preparation of proposals to obtain grants from state and federal agencies, and private foundation sponsors.

  • Additional Details (Summary): The Director of Stakeholder Engagement plays a vital role in fostering positive relationships between an organization and its various stakeholders. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and execute a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy to build and maintain strong connections with key individuals and groups. The Director will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and community members to ensure effective communication, promote transparency, and address the needs and concerns of stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Engagement Strategy:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for stakeholder engagement, aligning with the organization's overall mission, values, and goals.
  • Identify key stakeholders, including customers, partners, community members, investors, government entities, and other relevant groups.
  • Determine the most effective methods and platforms for engaging with each stakeholder group to ensure meaningful interactions and mutual understanding.
  • Relationship Building:
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders through regular communication, meetings, events, and other engagement initiatives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to connect with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure their voices are heard and valued.
  • Represent the organization in external forums and events to build visibility and credibility among stakeholders.
  • Communication and Messaging:
  • Develop clear and consistent messaging for the organization's goals, initiatives, and achievements to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the communications and marketing teams to disseminate information through various channels, including websites, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Stakeholder Analysis and Feedback:
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis to understand their perspectives, interests, and expectations regarding the organization's activities and services.
  • Collect feedback from stakeholders through surveys, focus groups, interviews, and other means to identify areas for improvement and address concerns.
  • Conflict Resolution:
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts between stakeholders and the organization, working to find common ground and mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Provide support in handling sensitive issues and crisis situations that may impact stakeholder relations.
  • Collaborative Partnerships:
  • Identify opportunities for collaborative partnerships with external stakeholders to achieve shared goals and enhance the organization's impact.
  • Facilitate collaboration among different stakeholder groups to foster a cohesive and supportive network.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular reports on stakeholder engagement activities, feedback, and outcomes to assess the effectiveness of the strategy and inform decision-making.

    Qualifications

    Bachelors and 3 years experience

    Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, public relations, or community relations, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and build rapport.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve shared objectives.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in stakeholder engagement and community outreach.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and empathy to understand stakeholders' perspectives and concerns.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and crisis management is a plus.
  • Salary: 4,463.00 - 5,804.50
