Under the broad oversight of a faculty member, the Staff Scientist or Staff Scientist, Sr. will be expected to perform independent or team-based science research. Incumbent will design, organize and conduct highly specialized and advanced experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures and in some cases design new protocols; prepare and submit manuscripts and grant applications, and present data in lab meetings, seminars, and at national scientific meetings; assume general responsibility for scientific operations of the laboratory; participate in the training, supervision and guidance of junior technicians, students and postdoctoral fellows.
