HSC Health is the academic clinical practice for the Health Science Center. Focused on improving health outcomes to build a healthier community, HSC Health primary and mutlispecialty care clinics are located on the HSC campus . Our care teams extend to local hospitals, surgery centers, long term and continuing care centers, as well as mobile and in-home care. HSC Health's interprofessional teams work collaboratively to achieve an optimized treatment plan tailored to the individual patient. Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, specialized technicians, and nurses work together while intentionally integrating health care students, residents, and fellows to deliver care to our community.
Position Overview
This is a staff physician position within HSC Health Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (HSC).

Minimum Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited medical school. Must be licensed to practice medicine in Texas or another state or have completed at least two years of postgraduate residency (not limited to the United States); Must have passed the Texas Medical Jurisprudence Examination and must be able to obtain a State of Texas Medical License.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Be licensed to practice medicine in another state or have completed at least two years of postgraduate residency (not limited to the United States) Passed the Texas Medical Jurisprudence Examination Ability to practice medicine within the scope of license, training and credentials Ability to care for a diverse patient population
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency. Training and experience in long term care, hospice and inpatient care.
Required License / Registration / Certification
The physician must meet the qualifications of having successfully (1) completed a Residency in an accredited ACGME or AOA program ; (2) be Board Eligible or Board Certified ; (3) hold and maintain a Full Texas Medical Board License.

Job Duties

Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
