The College of Health and Public Service (HPS) at the University of North Texas, distinguished as one of the few Tier One research universities designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), prepares graduates to address diverse and complex social issues such as aging, disability, disaster management and recovery, criminal justice, health disparities, and public safety, and find solutions to challenges in public administration, public health, and urban design. We have seven academic departments with undergraduate and graduate programs, the Center for Public Management, the UNT Speech and Hearing Center, UNT WISE and a number of professional development and clinical training programs to facilitate careers to address a global society.

Located within HPS, the Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP) provides the finest graduate professional education in both speech- language pathology and audiology while maintaining an excellent undergraduate degree. The program stresses excellence in teaching, research, and service by its faculty and students. As a component of the educational program, the department operates the UNT Speech and Hearing Center, which offers professional services to members of our campus community and the general public for the purpose of providing clinical training for students. The Center offers state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, and hearing disorders. ASLP is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Supervisor to join the HPS family.

Position Summary

The UNT Speech and Hearing Center at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Supervisor to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervision of clinical assessment and treatment of Speech-Language Pathology graduate student clinicians.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field. Expertise wanted in the areas childhood speech, language and literacy disorders.
  • License to practice in the State of Texas, and Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association
  • Flexible hours within an average of 16-18 hours per week (as dictated by department and clinical needs)
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Previous experience supervising graduate student clinicians.

    Required License / Registration / Certification

    License to practice in the State of Texas, and Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association

    Work Schedule

    Flexible hours within an average of 16-18 hours per week (as dictated by department and clinical needs); usually fall Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
