Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Specialist Sonographer to join our busy, friendly imaging department. You will be part of a small team of Sonographers, who are well respected and committed to providing a high standard of examinations.

The ultrasound department performs routine and complex obstetric and gynaecological scans to support antenatal and gynaecology outpatients, gynaecology oncology, and Post-Menopausal Bleeding clinics. All Sonographers scan and report autonomously and are supported for further development and training.

In addition, we have a self-contained Early pregnancy Unit with all day ultrasound cover, six days a week.

You will work closely with and be supported by the onsite Regional Fetal Medicine team who provide care to women and their families undergoing high risk or problematic pregnancies requiring specialist care and expertise. Detailed job description and main responsibilities Your Responsibilities What you'll do

As a trained sonographer you will have a rotation through early pregnancy, post-menopausal bleed 2 ww clinic, obstetric scanning and gynaecology examinations. We are a small team and work closely with fetal medicine and gynaecology departments.

What we're looking for

A candidate with UK and NHS experience and a recognised qualification in ultrasound ( PgC/ PgDip). Professional with a strong sense of teamwork and good communication skills.
