Position descriptionThe Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine, University of California, Irvine is anticipating openings for Junior, Assistant, Associate and Full Specialist to work in the following divisions and programs:
Adolescent Medicine Genetics/Metabolic Disorders Pediatric Neurology Allergy/Immunology Hematology/Oncology Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Cardiology Infectious Diseases Pulmonary Child Development Center Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine Pediatric Surgery Endocrinology Nephrology Pediatric Urology General Pediatrics Exercise Medicine
Requirements: Applications are being sought for candidates with strong laboratory research backgrounds and specialized training.
Appointees to the Junior Specialist rank should possess a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent research experience)
Appointees to the Assistant Specialist rank should possess a master's degree (or five years research experience)
Appointees to the Associate Specialist rank should possess a master's degree (or five to ten years research experience)
Appointees to the Specialist rank should possess a terminal degree (or ten or more years of research experience)
This is on-going recruitment. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
