Position descriptionSpecialist positions through UCI Nature may be available seasonally or year- round. Successful candidates are self-driven and adept at working both in team settings and independently. Job responsibilities involve field work on UCI's natural reserves and focus on vegetation management, biological monitoring, and leading student groups and volunteers in these activities. The position also includes horticultural tasks at the University's greenhouse and basic maintenance of infrastructure for field-based experiments and equipment.
QualificationsBasic qualifications (required at time of application)
Junior Specialists - Should possess a Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or equivalent research experience.
Assistant Specialists - Should possess a Master's degree (or equivalent degree), or 5 yrs. of experience.
Associate Specialists - Should possess a Master's degree (or equivalent degree) or 5-10 yrs. of experience.
Specialists - Should possess a terminal degree (PhD/MD) (or equivalent degree) or 10+ yrs. of experience
