Job Summary
To provide intervention services to parents with risk factors for substance use disorders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for outreach to new clients. Meets with clients and families in Center, community or home setting to complete intake process which includes screenings and assessments. Develops Service Plan for case management service implementations. Facilitates evidenced-based prevention, intervention and recovery support services to clients, individually and in groups. Develops and delivers presentations to youth and adults on harmful effects of drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Implements all duties with fidelity and ensures compliance with program and grant requirements. Assists with research and data collection as requested. Supervises interns assigned, ensuring interns are provided with a valuable learning opportunity. Completes reports in a timely manner for approval of supervisor. Documents services in accordance with Center procedures. Complies with NASW Code of Ethics. Performs other job duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in social work or related field. One Thousand (1,000) hours of experience in mental health or substance abuse intervention or the equivalent experience. Licensure in LMSW or MSW with LCDC.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensure in LCSW. Bilingual (Spanish I English); Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) or Advanced Prevention Specialist (APS) or be certified within 18 months of employment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and presentation skills. Competent computer skills. Ability to work with at-risk youth in small groups.
