Master of Social Work degree from an accredited university/institution.

Applicants who seek to teach in the MSW Program must have a Ph.D. in Social Work or closely related field from an accredited university/institution.

Applicants who seek to teach practice courses must have at least, two years post-MSW professional social work experience.

Job Description

The Social Work Department at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke seeks to establish a pool of qualified adjunct instructors for the upcoming academic year.

Specific Job Responsibilities: • Plan course instruction accor ding to approved syllabus • Hold classes as scheduled, and complete all class-related activities in a timely manner • Maintain effective and timely communication with students and faculty • Adhere to university policies and procedures

Work Location: Main campus of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Applicants may be considered for teaching at Sandhills campus. UNC Pembroke, part of the University of North Carolina system, is among the most diverse universities in the South and has a student population of 6200 in various graduate, undergraduate, and professional programs. Originally founded in 1887 to educate Native-Americans, UNC Pembroke has grown rapidly in recent years. Southeastern North Carolina offers close proximity to major cities and nearby beaches, and an affordable cost of living.
