Social Media Coordinator

Full time, 35 hours per week
ARU Students' Union are seeking an enthusiastic and creative social media
coordinator to join our team. As our social media coordinator, you will be
responsible for managing and executing all social media activities across
various platforms to engage with our target audience and promote our
offerings. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and
success of our organisation through strategic social media planning and
execution. Please note this position will be based in our Cambridge office but
travel between our other sites in London, Chelmsford and Peterborough will be
required.
What you will be doing
Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement and
audience growth.
Manage all social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram,
YouTube and TikTok.
Create and publish engaging content, for all four campuses, that resonates
with our target audience.
Monitor and respond to comments and messages across all social media
platforms.
Analyse social media performance using analytics tools, develop reports to
evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and suggest improvements for
further growth and engagement.
Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, algorithms, and best
practices to ensure our content remains relevant and engaging.
Attend key events, across all four campuses, to capture live social media
content.
Support the Officer Team with the growth of their social media platforms
and the day-to-day enquiries they receive.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute social media
campaigns that align with their project and event goals.
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a social media coordinator or in a similar role.
Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and best
practices.
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create engaging
content.
Proficient in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
Experience in creating and editing videos and images for social media.
Ability to manage multiple social media accounts and handle a high volume
of content.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-
driven decisions.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a
wide range of people from different teams, all of which have varying
requirements.
Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritise work.
