DUTIES

The Department of Literatures, Languages and Performing Arts is seeking a sessional lecturer to teach Engl 1100: Introduction to University Writing in Lillooet during the Winter 2024 semester.

  • This course will be for three hours one day per week as part of an Early Childhood Satellite Program being offered in Lillooet running January 8, 2024 to April 12, 2024 (running off cycle from the main campus courses).
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in English required.
  • Experience teaching students whose educational, social and economic backgrounds are diverse, and for whom previous school experience may have been challenging.
  • Skills in building intercultural understanding, empathy and mutual respect (TRC CA 63) preferred
  • Experience integrating Indigenous knowledge and teaching methods (TRC CA 62) preferred.
  • Teaching excellence including developing culturally appropriate curricula (TRC CA 10) preferred.
