The successful candidate will instruct a section of first-year physics
(Optics, EM, modern physics), and advanced mechanics (Lagrangian, solid
body rotation), as well as part of a Quantum computing course (Team Taught)
The instructor, will be expected to be on campus, but must be willing to
delivery remotely should Public Health directives require. Duties will
Lecture preparation and delivery, including online materials and videos,
Assessing student performance through examinations and quizzes, and
providing feedback, including marking and grading lab exercises,
Enforcing health and safety standards,
Being available to answer students' questions by scheduling office hours,
and through e-mail, telephone, and videoconferencing,
Ensuring a student-centred approach to teaching and learning.
A Ph. D in Physics or other related science is required.
Previous teaching experience instructing physics at the post-secondary level
Experience with a learning management system, such as Moodle, is an asset.
Experience with Quantum Computing is an asset.
Experience with Python is an asset.
