Senior Trial Manager; Oxford Precision Psychiatry Lab (Maternity cover)

Department of Psychiatry, Warneford Hospital, Oxford OX3 7JX

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A READVERISEMENT – PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT REAPPLY

We are looking to appoint a Senior Trial Manager to work on an international, multicentre, medical technology trial, led by Professor Andrea Cipriani. The trial funded by the Wellcome Trust, will compare a decision-making tool (the PETRUSHKA Tool) with an enhanced tool which includes genetic biomarkers (the PRADA Tool), with the aim of guiding clinicians, patients and carers in the shared process of decision-making in routine care. The post is based in the Department of Psychiatry, at the Warneford Hospital.

This post is to cover the absence of the substantive postholder, who is taking a period of maternity leave. The post is available from 15th October 2024 until 15th October 2025 or the actual return of the substantive postholder, or the resignation of the substantive postholder and employment of a new postholder, whichever is the earliest.

Your primary responsibility will be to work with the Chief Investigator and lead the wider trial team to ensure the efficient development and delivery of this innovative study, both nationally in the UK and internationally, across low- and middle-income countries. This will include obtaining the necessary approvals & permissions, liaising with collaborators and study sites, managing data and coordinating meetings and communications.

You should have a degree or equivalent in psychology, or a biomedical related field along with proven clinical trial /project management experience gained in multi-centre, randomised clinical trials. With experience of preparing regulatory and ethics submissions, you should have a working knowledge of current regulations and proven ability to apply these in the coordination of clinical trials.

Whilst the role is a Grade 8 position, we would be willing to consider candidates with less experience who are seeking a development opportunity, for which an initial appointment would be at Grade 7 (£38,674-46,913) with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly. This would be discussed with applicants at interview/appointment where appropriate.

You will be required to upload a supporting statement, a CV, and details of two referees as part of your online application.

The closing date for this post is 12.00 midday on 6th December 2024.
