Senior Technical Assistant/Research Assistant I/II in Proteomics and Metabolomics Core of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) (Ref.: 516356) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) is an academic research-support centre comprising strategic research programs and various core laboratories under the management of the LKS Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong. We are undergoing rapid expansion and seeking various talents. The CPOS core laboratories host state of the art omics technology platforms. With a team of researchers and more than 60 highly trained and dedicated staff, we aim to facilitate and support omics research in Hong Kong and the region by developing expertise and infrastructure. We offer excellent staff training and long-term development opportunities. Good exposures and interactions with world-leading research groups in various research fields are commonly available.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree or above in Biomedical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry or a related discipline. They should have a strong passion in science and technologies; a good command of spoken and written Chinese and English; and competency in MS Office applications. They should also be self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, meticulous and enjoy team work. Working knowledge of our existing technology platforms is a definite advantage. The appointee will be trained to operate state-of-the-art equipment (HPLC, GC, QQQ, Q-TOF, Orbitrap, QTRAP, etc.) that facilitate cutting-edge translational research at Proteomics and Metabolomic Core. He/She will liaise with clients to coordinate service logistics, provide technical advice, and evaluate and validate new technologies.
