About the role

The University implemented a cloud based ERP system (Oracle Fusion) in May 2019 and is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join the Financial Services team. This role will be based at our Stoke-on-Trent campus under a flexible location working policy.

As a key member of the team this post provides a wide variety of tasks, you will be an innovative explorer of new technologies and software products to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Financial Services function. The post holder will possess excellent communication and organisational skills and have the aptitude to identify an issue, dig deeper to find the root cause of the issue and rectify. The role also gives opportunities to learn the day to day system maintenance, business intelligence report writing using SQL and enhance your Excel skills and support the Systems Accountant to design, develop and deliver process improvements in Financial Services.

The post holder should have a good understanding of core finance processes and finance principles with a good understanding of working, developing and maintaining a modern ERP finance system. This role provide an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to progress their career and develop their skill set in every area and they will be given all the training and support required for the role.

In addition to the below benefits the role also supports flexible working by offering flexi time, allowing you to start and finish within core office hours and provides remote working opportunities based on a flexible working location policy which staff work 3 days on Campus and 2 days at home – this is subject to competition of successful training so you would be required to be on Campus full time to start with for a period of around 4-6 weeks (this Policy can be changed or withdrawn at the University's discretion).
