An opportunity to provide key Systems and Project services to support research at The University of Adelaide

The Senior Research Project Officer provides business support for the university's research information management systems including data extraction and analysis, user support and training, system maintenance, upgrade and troubleshooting, process improvement and documentation, and stakeholder consultation.

This role is pivotal for operational system support and the delivery of projects and process improvement initiatives which underpin Research activity across the University with significant working relationships in Research Services and other stakeholders across Faculties and Divisions. You will also provide high level data management and analysis services for a broad range of clients.

To be successful you will need:

  • Well-developed organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage project and operational work.
  • Ability to interpret government policy, specifications and guidelines associated with research funding and government reporting requirements.
  • Sound experience with databases and data analysis, including high level Microsoft Excel skills, to summarise complex information for quality control and reporting purposes.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting management information systems and data collections, including system administration, implementation and upgrade, and user support and quality control, ideally in a research management setting.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work in a team environment, with high level communication skills and a proven ability to liaise, build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels within an organisation.
