    The Opportunity

    The Transfusion Research Unit is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Research Officer to perform a range of research-related activities to support the delivery of outcomes for unit. These activities include preparation of ethics submissions and annual reports, preparation and dissemination of newsletters and site reports, liaising with hospital sites and coordinating steering committee and other meetings.

    As the successful candidate you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, implementing and coordinating a range of research and administrative tasks
  • Keeping abreast of developments, activities and protocols in relevant research areas
  • Ensuring compliance with established research methodology, policy, protocols, OHS and regulatory requirements
  • Participating in and implementing continuous improvement activities in relation to research, technical procedures and quality assurance
  • Building and sustaining effective working relationships with a network of colleagues, research collaborators and other stakeholders
  • Ideally, the appointee will have high-level analytical skills and a demonstrated capacity to develop and implement effective processes and systems, with excellent organisational and project coordination skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team.
