Applications are invited for the appointment as Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I (to commence as soon as possible, on a one- year temporary term with the possibility of renewal)
The appointee will join our Social Capital research team to study social capital in the Chinese/Asian context. S/he will be responsible for the literature review, liaison with local NGOs, collecting data from focus groups and a smartphone application, analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data, and performing other duties as assigned. Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree or above in Public Policy, Sociology, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related discipline with three years' post-qualification experience; or a master's degree in the above fields with one year's post-qualification experience. They should also have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), strong analytical skills, familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research methods, and the ability to work independently and as a team. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
