  • Job Description

    The purpose of this position is to recruit prospective students and to promote Texas State in the DFW Metroplex. The DFW Regional Senior Admissions Counselor participates in all aspects of recruitment, both in DFW and on campus.

    Expected activities include but are not limited to visits to high schools and community colleges, presentations, admissions events, and communication with students, parents, and counselors.

    The DFW Regional Senior Admissions Counselor position requires excellent oral and written communication skills as well as exceptional interpersonal skills.

    The Austin Senior Admissions Counselor must reside in the DFW Metroplex.

    Job Duties

    The characteristics and responsibilities of the ideal DFW Regional Senior Admissions Counselor include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the admissions team
  • Planning recruitment events
  • Communicating and establishing relationships with prospective students, parents, and counselors via available media
  • Preparing recruitment reports
  • Reviewing admission applications and recommending decisions
