Description
The UCLA Alpha Clinic accelerates stem cell clinical trials by providing comprehensive coordinated clinical trial management, resources, and training/education. The Alpha Clinic supports regulatory, administrative, patient safety, and evaluation activities for individual trials and develops best practices to benefit all trials in the portfolio. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the project management of Alpha Clinic activities, including clinical trials, lead network offerings, education, community outreach, and CIRM Working Groups. Priorities and deliverables will be assigned by the Executive Committee, under the direction of the Senior Director, Alpha Clinic Programs. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to assist in expanding a program that accelerates the translation of regenerative, gene, and cellular therapeutics into clinical practice. As our Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for Alpha Clinic project management and for assisting in educating and informing investigators of Alpha Clinic resources. You will assist with CIRM investigator grant application submissions, annual reporting, and ensure compliance with CIRM award requirements. You will also participate in meetings with CIRM grant awardees to identify areas for which the Alpha Clinic and the CTSI is able to further support investigators and will have direct oversight of all CIRM reporting, project life cycle management, reviewing and executing budget-related resource requests, and serving all members of the Leadership team. This position requires the ability to accomplish competing and often time-sensitive action items. Knowledge of risk mitigation strategies for project management is highly preferred. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science, health, public health, or social sciences 4-6 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility with team building experience, preferably in a health-related environment 4-6 years of project management experience, preferably in a health-related environment Experience managing cross-functional project teams PMP or other project management certification Demonstrated skill and experience in prioritizing and managing multiple and often competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Possesses strong initiative, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently Computer skills using PC platform computers with proficiency in the Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to perform work including data entry, correspondence, project management, and presentations Demonstrated professional skills to effectively communicate in English with investigators, staff, nurses, sponsors, etc., both orally and in writing, including the generation of original correspondence, grant applications, and reports, using correct grammar, syntax and punctuation Demonstrated skill prioritizing multiple assignments and achieving high productivity and work quality under rigid deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to work flexible hours to meet study deadlines and requirements Understanding of the clinical research process as it pertains to clinical research studies, i.e., compliance procedures and processes, data management, patient care coordination, and management, etc. Strong knowledge of policies and procedures related to contract and grant execution
