This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

The University of Leeds is one of the top 135 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.

As we embark on an ambitious Digital Transformation, we are investing in our IT Service which is key to developing our learning and research capability as we strive to collaborate across the globe, attacking global issues.

Reporting to the Director of IT Project Delivery and working with members of the University Executive Group, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of key strategic enabling programmes, encompassing multiple work stream areas covering areas of security, networking, data centre and infrastructure.

Acting as the senior IT partner with specialist leadership skills to facilitate and lead transformational IT change across large programmes and projects in order to achieve the associated strategic outcomes. You will be responsible for the delivery, management and oversight of all the technology work packages as part of a large programme costing tens of millions with multiple internal customers.

You will own and be accountable for IT's strategic partnership with the business and overall delivery of the IT elements of ambitious and complex programmes of change, providing the leadership skills to oversee the effective delivery of transformative customer focused IT systems and services.

If you thrive on working in a complex environment, where your ability to navigate strategic risks and issues are as developed as your skills in IT Programme delivery, this is an exciting opportunity for you to make a real difference in a world-class organisation.
