  • Salary range: $92,941 - $104,143 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
  • About the Role

    As a Senior People Consultant, you will work closely with business leaders to develop solutions that deliver on strategic and operational business plans and people related objectives. You will be responsible for managing complex HR enquiries and providing high level support and advice to managers, including recommending appropriate solutions to achieve desired outcomes. You will also provide tailored coaching and support to managers through creative problem solving and constructive and future focussed consulting and influencing skills.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Provide high level support on the planning, design, development and evaluation of people-related initiatives
  • Deliver professional advice and solutions to managers on policy and procedures, interpretation of relevant awards/agreements and employment legislation to identify and mitigate potential industrial risks
  • Undertake detailed investigations of complex enquiries, providing high level advice to managers and staff relating to employee relations
  • Prepare high level documentation including reports, options papers, briefing papers, policy papers and practices and procedural guidelines
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering impactful professional HR advice and solutions to managers and staff in a large organisation including policy advice and interpretation, industrial relations, performance management, remuneration and workforce planning
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in a customer service environment within a large complex organisation
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, or a related area or extensive equivalent experience gained within a complex business environment; and
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and influencing skills
