The primary areas of oversight include: Prayer, Teaching and Preaching of the Word • Preach sermons that focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and proclaim the Scriptures with prayerful consideration. • Oversee the Sunday worship services. • Administer the ordinances of communion and baptism. • Provide overall leadership to discipleship programs. Overall Leadership of the Church • Lead and oversee the development of the church's short-term and long-term vision. • Lead the church staff. • Plan and coordinate elders meetings and members meetings. • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to provide direction and clarity for ministries and job roles. • Lead in the promotion of Grace Fellowship Church Don Mills and the proclamation of the gospel in the community. • Collaborate with church staff and elders to continually develop and implement new and existing programs and ministries. Administration of the Church • Correspond with the church membership and other relevant parties as necessary. • Oversee the pastoral care needs of the congregation and delegate responsibilities to church staff and elders as needed. • Oversee development of and adherence to church policies and procedures. Staff Supervision and Leadership Development • Oversee staff training and development. • Provide leadership to the church staff in designing and implementing all church ministries. • As the first among equals: • Lead from among the plurality of elders; and • Provide leadership and organization to the board of elders, facilitating the stewardship of each member's unique gifts and abilities. • Ensure effective communication channels are in place between the church staff and elders for efficient coordination and decision-making. • Invest in the development of leadership skills by engaging in relevant reading, attending conferences, and participating in other appropriate development opportunities. Membership Care • Practise hospitality. • Officiate funerals. • Conduct premarital counselling sessions and perform wedding ceremonies as necessary. • Oversee the development and implementation of membership classes. • Counsel in times of crisis. • Visit the sick and shut-ins. Working Relationships • De facto staff manager in the day to day operations of the church. • Be accountable to the board of elders.

• He must be a believer who openly gives testimony to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord. • He must be biblically qualified and maintain a pure life as outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. • He must be fully committed to Grace Fellowship Church Don Mills' Statement of Faith and Membership Covenant. • He should have appropriate formal training, and while a Master of Divinity is preferred, a combination of relevant experience and education will be considered. • He must be gifted in preaching the Word and in leadership. • He must believe in and be committed to the biblical principle of a plurality of leadership.

HISTORY Grace Fellowship Church Don Mills was established in January 2011. Beginning with around 20 members, the church initially met at a home and later moved to Greenland Public School for more space. By the end of the year, the church had doubled in membership. In 2014, the church moved to Senator O'Connor College School, where it stayed until COVID-19 restrictions forced them to relocate to the Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre in September 2020. The church joined the Great Commission Collective in January 2021 and currently has 3 elders and 5 church staff. The church has approximately 150 members, with around 200 people attending on a Sunday morning.

VISION Grace Fellowship Church is committed to continually beholding the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ so that we may reflect his image, bringing his blessing to all of his creation.

Beholding His Glory: We believe that the fullness of God's glory is revealed through Jesus and aim to behold him in order to know God, the source of all joy and life.

Becoming Like Him: As humans, we were created to reflect God's image, but sin has damaged our ability to do so; still, our reflection of those around us shows that we are always becoming what we behold, and as Christians, we rely on the Spirit to help us behold Christ and become like Him, which will be completed when we see Him face-to-face.

Blessing His Creation: God created Adam and Eve in his image and likeness to reflect his gracious rule over creation, but sin marred this image and Christians, as they behold Jesus and are transformed into his image, become salt and light, bringing the good news of Christ's reign and blessing to all of creation until the moment when they finally become like him because they see him as he is.

COMMUNITY Grace Fellowship Church Don Mills is a church that is committed to the vision of Beholding, Becoming, and Blessing. Our vibrant church community is located in the heart of Toronto's east end and serves a diverse neighbourhood made up of families, young professionals, and seniors. We strive to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere where people can come together and worship God in spirit and truth. Our church is conveniently located in a neighbourhood with a mix of detached homes, townhouses, and apartments; it is close to public transit (including the new Eglinton Crosstown) and major highways making it accessible to everyone in the surrounding community. We are committed to serving and reaching out to all members of the community with the Gospel. We are a diverse community of believers that reflects the multiculturalism of Toronto. With a population of approximately 14,580, the neighbourhood has significant populations of South Asian, Chinese, and Filipino residents, and about 61% of the population are visible minorities. At Grace Fellowship Church Don Mills, we offer a range of programs and activities for all ages that are designed to help us grow in our faith and serve our neighbourhood. These include Sunday worship services, Bible studies, discipleship programs, prayer meetings, youth group, children's ministries, and more. We are actively seeking a new Senior Pastor who can lead us in fulfilling the Great Commission and continue to foster our commitment to beholding, becoming, and blessing. Our church community is eager to grow and expand our impact in the neighbourhood, and we believe that with the guidance of a new pastor, we can achieve great things for the glory of God.
