The Opportunity
The Office of Research Grants and Development is seeking to appoint a Senior Manager, Major Initiatives within the Research Development Team who will be responsible for driving operational excellence and management of a high performing team of research specialists. The role will operationalise development services for new research programs under the Commonwealth Government's National Competitive Grants Program (NCGP) and other competitive research opportunities.
As the successful incumbent, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the portfolio to deliver a suite of best-in-class development services to the research community. Additionally, you will drive our success in securing funding by delivering quality, timely and expert advice to the research community in a variety of formats and to diverse audiences.
About you
The appointee will hold relevant research qualifications and/or extensive experience across a range of research disciplines and demonstrated knowledge and experience of providing value-add, direct services for competitive research grants development.
Your comprehensive understanding of Australia's research environment and research management, demonstrated leadership in the design and implementation of strategic initiatives to support new opportunities for research funding and demonstrated leadership in the design and implementation of strategic initiatives will ensure your success in this position.
