The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking to add your
unique skillset in the role of a Senior Lecturer. In particular, by
contributing to our new, cutting-edge, Masters of Pharmaceutical Sciences, you
will have a major impact on students' learning experience and the creation of
a skilled workforce in the critical and growing pharmaceutical sciences
You will also have the exciting opportunity to develop your research by
joining the world's #1 ranked Faculty in Pharmacy and Pharmacology (QS
Rankings 2022) and successful applicants will take up a position within one
of five major research Themes within the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical
Sciences (MIPS). Applications are encouraged from across the spectrum of
pharmaceutical science-related disciplines, including medicinal chemistry,
drug delivery, disposition and dynamics, and drug discovery biology.
The Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS) integrates research
from five fundamental research themes to identify, develop, optimise and
deliver new drug treatments – ultimately translating basic research into
clinical trials. These research themes are Drug Delivery, Disposition and
Dynamics, Drug Candidate Optimisation, Drug Discovery Biology, Medicinal
Chemistry and Medicine Use and Safety.
MIPS is Australia's largest, most experienced and successful group of
pharmaceutical scientists with over 250 staff and 250 PhD students undertaking
basic and translational drug discovery, drug delivery and drug development
research in state-of-the-art laboratories on Monash's Parkville campus.
A successful candidate will have a doctoral qualification in the relevant
field, with significant research experience and experience in curriculum and
subject material development as well as the ability to work independently and
as part of a team. These attributes will assist you to build an
internationally recognised research program, to prepare and deliver seminars
and lectures, to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research students
and ultimately to deliver impact in the fast-moving field of medicine research
