The School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences is seeking an outstanding individual, passionate about teaching, to support Haide College, its joint venture with Ocean University in Qingdao, China. In this education-focused role, you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of courses at all levels of the undergraduate mathematics curriculum with an emphasis on applied mathematics, statistics and data science. You will lead the implementation of innovative delivery modes through a combination of online teaching and regular teaching visits to China, to provide a global education for students in the joint program.
The position is available from 1 December 2023.
To be successful you will need:
Lecturer (Level B)
A PhD in the mathematical sciences or equivalent qualification
Ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate level in applied mathematics, statistics or data science, using evidence-based pedagogy that promotes student engagement
Senior Lecturer (Level C)
