This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the continuous professional
development (CPD) of health care professionals through the delivery of the
Masters in Education for Health Professionals in the vibrant School of Nursing
and Health Sciences. You will be able to contribute to the promotion of
teaching, research and reach-out activities across the Faculty.
You will join our creative team of nurse educators and contribute to our
thriving partnership with internal and external stakeholders. The M ED
(Health Professions) is a new programme, the post holder will be expected to
manage the development and delivery of this programme which aims to educate
health professionals in the delivery of Higher Education.
The post holder will also be required to support the delivery of other CPD
modules and programmes which are delivered by the Professional Healthcare
Practice and Midwifery team.
We are seeking an experienced educator with a background in health and / or
education who has a passion for educating, and supporting students. The role
also requires the successful candidate to take be an autonomous educator who
can offer expert knowledge, guidance and support to the M ED programme and the
wider team. The Senior Lecturer / Programme Leader (M ED) is both an
exciting and challenging role, which requires excellent knowledge and
understanding of teaching and learning; supporting staff and students within
the Professional Healthcare Practice and Midwifery team and wider Faculty.
The ideal candidate will possess a first degree in a health related subject
and post graduate qualification, preferably in education. You will have
experience of module and / or programme leadership and will have worked in
higher education and / or health education.
